how do I assign a category to a new contact?

New computer, updated programs. Now, when I do a new contact in Outlook
2000, there is not the box on the lower right where I can click which
category to assign. On a new contact, how can I do that?
 
is the window too small to show the field? Try dragging the lower edge down
or double click on the title bar to maximize it.
