I have got the same problem, but unfortunately I do not get that problem
with your post solved...
I use the 2003 version and I have no idea where the design templates are
saved (searched unsucessfully and "save as" does not work either) and when I
press "format" the menu on the right side pops up wiht no trace of the
downloaded design...
It is quiet easy to copy 8 pages, but that will not solve the basic problem
I actually have...
If theres anybody out there with the information I need, please help...
1. Find the PowerPoint template your have downloaded which has a POT postfix.
2. Move the .pot file to: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\. Or try to copy files into this location:
C:\Documents and Settings\%user%\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\
Here %user% is your windows' login name.
How to apply PowerPoint template to PowerPoint presentation?
1. From the Format menu, choose Apply Design Template
2. Navigate to the location of the PowerPoint templates and select the template you want. You'll see a thumbnail image in the navigation palette.
3. Choose Apply.
Simply go to FORMAT menu, select SLIDE DESIGN. Click BROWSE which is found
below the lists of design templates. Then locate where you saved the design
template you have downloaded. I hope I was able to help you...
