Excel sums the time correctly if it involves 4 rows, thereafter it gives

Excel will sum time for any number of rows, but I suspect what is at play
here is the sum of the time is going over 24 hours which without help, excel
tries to increment to days, so if you leave a 'natural' formatting for 26
hours, it will actually show 2:00. If you formatted this as a date and time
you would get 01/01/1900 2:00, as you have 1 day (the first day according to
Excel is 1st January 1900) and 2:00 hours
To overcome this go to Format>Cells...>Number>Custom and enter
[h]:mm or [hh]:mm
The same would be true if you were adding minutes over 60, you would format
as
[m]:ss or [mm]:ss

How do I now get the time logged for work, to be multiplied by the dollar

Multiply the time by 24 and then by the dollar amount
