How do I add text to a chart?

I have a chart of net income for a fiscal year and there are several months
that stand out and I would like to put an explaination on the chart either
with notes at the bottom or a note at the top of the bar that I want to
explain....is that possible?
 
Select the chart (the chart area or plot area), and start typing (in Excel
2007 you have to click in the formula bar before typing). Press Enter when
done, and the text will appear in a text box. Reposition and format the text
box as desired.
