How can I set up an alternate calendar in Outlook 2003 that contains specific
country and other holidays? I only want these holidays to appear on the
alternate calendar and not on the default calendar. Thanks.

Add them to your default calendar, then move them to the other calendar.
You'll find the By Category view handy for the move step.

Will alarms pop up on the secondary calendar, too, or only on the
primary one?

Only on the default calendar unless you have an add-in such as Extended
