I am new to frontpage and tried to insert an excel file into a web page. I
used the insert tab on the toolbar, selected file and found the excel file I
wanted to insert. The problem occured when I tried to select the file type
from the drop down menu. I had no excel listing to choose from and got an
error message saying "could not load" the insert works with .doc files etc as
there is a listing for these in the "types of files" drop down menu. Any idea
how I add Excel to this list.

Cheers

You can't insert a Excel file into a web page, you have to import the Excel file into the current
open web and then create a link to it, which then requires the user to have Excel installed to see
it.

You can paste rows/columns from Excel into a web page.

You can also use "Save As" in Excel to save an entire workbook or individual
worksheet as htm(l) and import that to your web.
