How Do I Add Excel Cell Content to PPT Text Box

Is there a way to link the contents of a cell in Excel to a phrase in
a PPT text box. For example, I have a text box that will say "Company
XYZ sold xxx units in 2009." Where xxx is a number associated to a
specific cell in an Excel file.

Not without using VBA.
