How do I add attachments to a mail merge for email ?

Sounds simple. I've done standard email merges before, just not with an
attachment. Is there a custom field or something?
 
I feel like I am soooo close now. I have set up the second mail merge list,
as instructed, to the link of my attachment. I have set the VBA reference to
Microsoft Office Outlook Objects Library. I am about to finalize the merge
on the document that will be emailed HTML, I run the macro and....

I get the following message:

Compile error: User-defined type not defined.

Dim oOutlookApp As Outlook.Application
is highlighted.

What to do? HELP!
 
I ran across your post trying to find mine again.
Look under "Word" instead of Outlook under this community and use the
subject line/question....
"Mail merge to email with attachment"
I finally got it to work there with Doug's help. He wrote the article
referred to earlier. I am now asking about jpeg attachments. We'll see what
happens. But I have successfuly been able to make it work with pdf's.
