I'd like to click the mouse; This will fade out a portion of Slide 1 and
then automatically advance to the next slide after the fade is complete. I
don't want to have to use two mouse clicks to do this. Is this possible?

Thanks!

Not as such but here's a possible workaround...
Make the click transition to a duplicate slide (with all other animations
completed)
Have the final fade animation set to "after previous" and the slide
transition set to auto after 0 secs (this slide only) The first transition
should be unnoticed and the final fade take place followed by the next
transition.

Thanks John, that tip is fantastic.

So basically, I have the image appear on Slide 1. This is the final
animation on Slide 1, the next click transitions to Slide 2, where the image
is already being displayed. Immediately upon display of Slide 2 though, the
image fades.

Actually Slide 1 and Slide 2 are the same slide, but I had so many
animations on Slide 1, that I had to break this into two separate slides.
This works so well that when I ran through it the first time, I wasn't even
sure that I had transitioned to Slide 2 until I saw the Slide 2 animations
appearing.

So you can't attach a slide transition to an animation, but you can attach
an animation to a slide transition; That is, to begin automatically when the
slide loads. Good enough!

Great tip - thanks!
