How do I add a sentence to a document

I have a list of books I have in Word and I want to edit or add to the list.
How do
I do this?
 
Place the insertion point where you want to add the material and start
typing.

No insult intended but how did you get to this newsgroup if you can't figure
out how to edit a document? Are you getting an error message?

I think you're being trolled.

Today in the DVD group someone asked for help because his ---- is
caught in the DVD player.
 
I suspect so too but I've seen some really unusual posts in here that are
legit. Sometimes I'm feeling kinder than others and try to give the poster
the benefit of the doubt.
