How do I add a program to the allow list?

I use PC Alert 4 (from MSI). PC Alert starts automatically when I logon to
my account and starts monitoring voltages, temps and fan speeds. Defender
objects to this program (and probably rightly so) and gives me the
opportunity (in the History window) to allow the program. I respond
accordingly. When I review the allow list, nothing is there. Subsequently,
when I logon again, I get the same warning message and I have to respond
allow. Maybe I am missing something. How does anything get into the allow
list and does there exist the capability for me to put an entry in the allow
list?

If you go to the tools section...general settings ..scroll down to the "Do
not scan the following files or paths ..and add there it seems to fonction ok
I used it to stop defender rejecting my wifi driver !

Should have added it doesn't show up in the allowed section afterwards ? like
you allowing something appears to only fonction for the session in question
and then you get the same question next log on ! I haven't yet found anyway
to perminantly allow other than by not scanning as I wrote below !

AS far as I know the "Allow" section only applies to items that are detected
by Defender during scans and then are allowed. Programs that Defender
detects in other situations, such as start up programs being added, show up
in the History section as allowed. The only way I know to permanently remove
a program from detection is to use the setting in general settings to "do not
scan the following files or paths."
