I want to add an Excel spreadsheet to my website that only I can access. I
want to be able to view and modify this spreadsheet from any computer with
internet access.

Place it in a password protected subweb. Or simply name it something
that isn't easy to guess. As long as directory browsing is turned off
or there are a default page it is very unlikely that anybody should
guess that it is there if there are no link to it.

But it will not be editable / savable from any computer unless the computer has a FTP or FP connection to the server
