I would like to add a checkmark to PowerPoint 2007 grid cells. Is there a

What do you mean by "grid cells"?
And is this something you want users to click, or do you just need to add a
checkmark symbol or clipart?

I created a grid with several columns and rows... header in row 1. I wanted
to put a "checkmark" in the row columns that have items that are relevent
for that row. It is not "checkable', but merely visual.
I used "X" for this, but thought a checkmark might look nicer.

Insert | Picture | Clip Art. Put Check in the search box. That will turn up
lots of options. (I've used these for the same type of thing myself.) Try
Checkmark also.
And remember, you can ungroup clipart (do it twice) and remove the
background stuff if necessary.
