Matt

I created a macro for an indepth spreadsheet. I then
saved the file and emailed it to all of my coworkers to
use. They have saved the file under a different name and
now when they go to use it, it can not find the macro...
that is, the macro is assigned to the specific file and it
looks for that file to run the macro. Everyone is going
to have to rename the file for the case they are using the
spreadsheet for, so using the original filename is not an
option. How do I assign the macro so that it is not
assigned specifically to a file, but instead assigned
generally to function on any file that I have open in
excel? Or is this possible? I have read about the
personal.xls file, but I do not have one in my start
folder, nor does anyone else. Any help would be
appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

You could save the workbook as an add-in then the users would have to
install the add-in by selecting Tools>Add-ins... then selecting your add-in.
This will make it always available, much like the Analysis Tookpak
