How di I close the "Preview Pane"?

Evidently going to the folders/general and selecting "View classic view"
didn't work...........

In WinMail: View | Layout.

? There is no "view classic view" setting in Windows Mail.
In Windows Mail: View, Layout, uncheck "Show preview pane".
