HOW Converting MPEG videos to..?

How do i convert my videos from MPEG??
I've got a feeling the type of file is stopping me from watching it in
preview mode, so could someone please tell me the right file type to convert
it to aswell please?!
 
Check my Import Movie Source Files > Video > MPEG and Video Codecs pages.
You're heading to WMV or AVI (with the right codec, not any of them)
