how convert PPT to DOC

I'm using MSWord 2003 and PPT 2003

Is there anyway to move a simple 10-page, mostly text PowerPoint into a Word
document, and retain most of formatting?

You could use File - send to -Word - choose the outline radio button. Only
placeholder text will be converted though.
