How come?

I had a virus turn up on my pc yesterday. How come McAfee (all up to date)
couldn't detect or clean it, but my freebie AVG (v6 and up to date) did (I
think and hope).

It was a 'trojan horse musicsearch' virus. Does McAfee not see trojan
horses or something?

Thanks
Lisa

Quite to the contrary, McAfee is one of the few antivirus products
that always tests extremely well in the Trojan category, while AVG is
one of the worst. Was the Trojan confirmed? Or was it a false alarm?

It was found and 'healed' according to the log.Thing is I've always had
faith in McAfee with AVG just giving added protection. The alert also came
from AVG
