how clear dns cache?

I read that you clear your dsn cache file from a command prompt

and here are the commands to see the cache and clear it:

ipconfig /displaydns shows contents of dns cache, and

ipconfig /flushdns clears the entries



When I try it on my laptop, it shows them, but

running the clear command doesn't clear them.



Can anybody comment on why it's not clearning the cache?
