Per the subject. How can you log on to Win2k domain sever
from XP Home. I'm running window XP Home. I asked the
Tech at the store should I run XP Pro from a Network. I
have a couple of computer running 98 and Me connected to
a Win2k server. I add a computer running XP Home. It
connected and I can get to the internet and ping the
sever and I have an account setup on the server. So if I
want to get to the Servers drives I have to search the
network find the drive and when I'm challenged I put in
the accounts password and I'm on. But I want to have a
network login when the computer starts.

.
With XP Home you will not have a network log in. You will
only be required to log into the server when you acess it.
And as long as you do not shut down the XP Home machine it
will stay logged on to the server. This is the same set-up
I have in my home. The only way to achieve a network log
in is to have XP Pro.
