how can you calulate the slope of a trend line

Any advice on this would be graetfully received. I have set trend lines and
now wish to calculate an overalll % increase or decrease in the slope

functions in the helpfile.

Don't forget to include details of your data and
what you are trying to achieve.

If you have a trendline, you can right click on it, choose Format, and on
the Options tab, check Show Formula on Chart. Increase the decimals in the
formula (use the Increase Decimals button or right click the formula, choose
Format, and on the Number tab choose a Number format with lots of decimal
places or a scientific format with lots of decimal places). Pick your slope
from the modified formula. Or use the SLOPE worksheet function on the chart
data in the worksheet to calculate the slope more directly.
