How can my custom shows return to the index slide

I have a presentation I want to break up into segments with an index slide
that jumps to whatever section I want. Custom shows work, but at the end of
the show it exits powerpoint. I want it to go back to the index slide.

When you set the hyperlink on the index slide that takes you to a custom
show, you should see a checkbox for "Show and Return." Be sure to check
this. Then when your custom show is done, it should take you back to the
index.

David I am having a similar problem. My links work and go back to the index
slide, however I have two slides at the end of the ppt that I want users to
go to from the index slide. I have placed a action button on th index slide
to advance to the summary slide but whne you advance from the summary slide
it goes back to the last slide viewed in the last custom show. This is
really driving me nuts and I really need some help. I am available by phone
as well.

It seems like you haven't properly exited your Custom Show. You might
experience behavior like this if you are still in the Custom Show.

Thank you David, you summed it very well, I couldn't get a handle on it.
What do you suggest as a possible resolution to this?

Well, I guess it depends what you are doing in the custom show. Perhaps,
just to get a handle on it, try putting a button on a slide that has the
action setting to hyperlink to "End Show." This might get you out of the
custom show. I'm wondering if you're hyperlinking around and possibly
clicking on a link to a custom show multiple times without exiting the
first time. You probably want to link to your custom show and then get
out of it before going into another custom show.
