I have a Power point presentation someone sent to me with a sound file that I
cannot locate the sound icon. How can I find the sound Icon? I dont want to
turn off the sound, but I would like to know where to find it.

Krakatoakt,
Could be that they inserted the sound on the sound transition task pane. Way
down at the bottom next to sound the name of the sound file should be
indicated.
Also check if the sound icon has not been dragged of the slide into the grey
surrounding area.
Maybe adjust the zoom to something like 33 % and see if it does not appear
there.

I minimized the slide to 25% and nothing was in the gray area. I went to the
Slide Transistion area and under the Modify Transaction I see the name of a
wav Sound file that is not on my PC, but I can't locate the file within the
presentation. I took my mouse and clicked on the bottom of the first slide
(which is where the music begins) and highlighted the entire slide to show me
anything on that slide, but nothing appeared.

I have looked under Custom Animation, changed the backround color hoping to
see something.

If you can see it in the Transition Pane then it was added as a transitions
sound and is embedded. You can recover it by saving as "webpage *.html"
(scroll down in the "SAVE AS TYPE" box) and in the folder of dependant files
you will find the sound file
