How can I use media player and powerpoint together through an LCD

Hi,
I'm trying to get some IT related advice regarding using Powerpoint and
Windows Media Player 'together' within the same presentation.

I can project my presentation through my LCD projetcor, no probs. However
when I cue my short DVD clip within Media Player and then pause it ready to
minimise my powerpoint display the 'paused DVD' gains control of the
projected image and wont allow the powerpoint show to show through LCD
projector evenb though it is showing on my laptop screen!

If anyone has been able to figure out what the hell I'm tring to get at and
has any answers and (sensible) suggestions then please, plaese get back to me

All very odd. Have you considered inserting the video into the presentation
or using an action button to launch the dvd instead? Some good artiicles all
