Anyone know how I can delete or turn off an item in
the "Send To" menu? You know...when you right click a
file and go to the "Send To" part and it gives you
options such as 3.5 floppy, Removeable disk, CD-RW, etc?
For some reason my CD-ROM is showing and can't (obviously)
be written to. Dell rep had me to go to Start/Run and
enter "sendto" to get that page up and you can then
delete what you want, but it shows back up at the next
boot up. I just has a HD crash and got reloaded this
weekend. It did not diplay that option before.

William;
There is probably an easier way, but I could not find it in Help(found
examples for Win98, that helps a lot w/XP).
I had to do this to add WordPad. Try this: Start/Search/For files and
folders/check Advanced options/type in: Send To. I got four instances,
apparently you have to delete or add in all of them.
Hope this helps,
Wes

.
Wes,
I appreciate the reply...I tried that and found three
folders with it in there and deleted them. Only problem,
it came back again when I rebooted. It seems I can get
it out, but as the saying goes, "we're baaaack" when I
reboot.
