How can I tell if the auto update is working? Several of
my friend who are running XP have gotten updates
recently. I have not gotten an update and whrn I do a
scan I amtold there are no update avaiable.

Yes, I do have the Auto update turned on.

Hi,

Hit ctrl+shift+escape, go to the processes tab and look for wuauclt.exe

Hi,

Start/run msconfig, go to the services tab, make sure it is enabled.

Control Panel/system/Automatic Updates tab, make sure it is checked here as
well. If the service is disabled, the option on this tab may be grayed out
until you reboot.
