how can i switch off automatic font size adjustment in powerpoint

While designing a PowerPoint (2003) slide, the font size changes all the time
in accordance with available space. I want the font size to be as specified
by me, right from the start. Can I deactivate this automated font sizing?
 
Click Tools > AutoCorrect Options.
Under AutoFormat As You Type, look for Apply as you type category.
Uncheck the autofit options and click ok.
