How can I stop this

Every time I start up my computer (Win XP Home) I get
these small windows that appear to be displaying some form
of a self-diagnostic. One of the windows is even
titled "diagnostic traces".

They are easily cleared/closed, but it doesn't seem right,
and I was wondering if anyone knows how to stop them.

If by "start up" you mean you are at the point where YOU can start
stuff too, get Prcview (free) from
http://www.xmlsp.com/pview/prcview.htm

If you start Prcview, and drag the "Find" icon (binoculars) onto the
window in question, Prcview will highlight the process in question in
its list. A right click on the process, and you can find out
everything you need to know, such as manufacturer.

If it looks like spyware or something you don't want, run Spybot S&D
and HijackThis (you should be anyway). Start with this article:
