It seems to me that there should be a simple registry key that would stop
synchronizing from happening on the student workstations. I was ready to
throw the dang thing at the wall a few minutes ago because everytime i
switched to a student id it would syncronize and the students do not have
the rights to change that feature. What i really really, please need is to
be able to shut it off completely. Can it be done? Thanks, charlie

If you are speaking of offline folders, change the value of "Enabled" 0 then
export. Import to the student workstations.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\NetCache]
"Enabled"=dword:00000000

Thanks. I will pursue that. I'm not sure about the offline folders thing
but if synchronizing means each student would have their folders downloaded
to every machine they logged on to then i would quickly get some of those
1.2g drives filled... Appreciate the help and i will let you know what
happens. charlie
