how can i spiral the words of my inspirational poem?

Im new to microsoft word 2003 and im making a calender with my life skills
class but nobody here knows how either. thank you 4 your time!

This can't be done in Word. You need a full-scale drawing program that can
put text on a curve.

You could try playing around with WordArt, although the options are limited.
It does allow horizontal 'wiggles' and 'circular' text, but probably not what
you're looking for. (Insert>Picture>WordArt)

Even if it's haiku, it might be difficult to fit a poem into circular
WordArt.

You can put WordArt into any shape as long as you have the time and the
patience. I've done it. See an example of WordArt manipulated along a curved
line here, scroll way down below the owl, there is a PDF that explains the
method.

I can't imagine the patience that would be required, not to mention the
overload on the processor for that sort of application. The only reason for
doing this would be having no other more suitable application, and I realize
that this is the situation for many users. I'm lucky to have CorelDRAW if I
wanted to put text on a curve (though I haven't done so in years).
