I need to sort a list of URL's alphabetically. The sort under data is grey.

I've also dropped the list in Word 2000 but it won't sort the list because
it is URLs.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Yes. I can sort the list in Excel but when I try to copy and paste the
sorted list back to FP it brings them over in a new table with each link in a
separate cell which I don't want.

After you sort it in Excel do a Save As .txt file .. just tried it and it works.

You can then merge the cells or convert to text.

You can also make the table/cell borders invisible.

For clean plain text in FP, chhose the Past Special option and select
unformatted text or whatever is called. Do the same in all MS
applications for clean txt pasting. The default paste option preserves
or tries to aproximate the original formating.

Pasting to notipad and then pasting from notepd also works.
