How can I share Outlook calendar within a home network?

I'd like to setup Outlook on my compter and my wife's computer so that she
can access the Outlook calendar on my computer from her computer. The help
files seem to suggest that this isn't possible for a user with Hotmail
account. Suggestions? (We have a home network up and running.)

Thanks. I've found another solution using a web-based calander that syncs
with Outlook at plaxo.com Not as elegant as being able to share Outlook on
a home network, but it works for me.

Thanks again.
Jeff

Also, i am trying to do this on the same computer. Between two user accounts.
My wife's and mine.
Sorry, I just can't see why this isn't easier. Very bizarre really

Version of Outlook?

One way to is just put the pst in a location both user accounts can access
and open it using file, open, outlook data file. if you use outlook 2007,
you could publish the calendar to share it.

That would be publish with Webdav, OK, I'm not to sure how that would work, I
am using the same computer, Office 2007, but where do I createw a folder or
where do I point it to, Sorry, not a programmer.
Thanks

if you right click on the calendar you can publish to office online.

if you use Widows xp, you can set up your own web server following the steps
here: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/publishcal.htm - before you
can publish the calendar, you need to install and configure IIS to accept
publishing, following the steps on that page to install iis in windows xp.

Office online is share only - only the owner can edit it. If you want to
give editing rights to others you need to use a utility or just share the
pst file. If you use hotmail/live accounts you can share those calendars
and control the editing rights. As long as you use the outlook connector you
can use them in outlook.

As mentioned you will probably need a 3rd party from one of those listed at slipstick to give editing rights for shared folders. I use this one and the real time syncing works really fine: http://www.codetwo.com/public-folders/ ;) It is based on making a public folder out of any outlook item you would like to share (inc. calendar) and giving access rights to the others from your network. Once you set up everythin, sharing happens in real time. A really cool app.. :)

You can try the 30 day trial for free..
