Hi, all
We have a shared printer installed on a NT4 server (PDC). For W2k workstation, we have to manually configure printer for each user everytime wjen a new user log into the pc

Is there anyway I can set a local policy so I don't have to re-config new users using the printer

Thanks
Rick

no local policy but you can make a per machine connection to the printer
rather than a per user connection (default). There are several post in this
forum regarding how to script this.

See http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/NetPrinterAllUsers.htm.

The KB article referenced by Alan Morris has some good information, but it
does not specifically describe how to use the /ga option in a simple way to
do what you want.

It's perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question.
