I want to schedule once a week messages sent to a particular contact but I do
not want to have to purchase and install a 3rd party software. Has anyone
come up with a way to be able to do this without purchasing the Sperry
software?

Make the email, close it so it is in Drafts. Right mouse drag it from
Drafts, to Drafts a few times so you have spares there ready to use each
time you want to send it.

Then make yourself a recurring Task to send it.
