I am working on the web site for the Rainbow Community Center. My problem is
when I go to use a .swf file, the drop down menu goes behind it...how can I
send the .swf file to the back so the dropdown menu shows over it.

the file can be found at http:\\www.rainbowcc.org\crabfeed.htm

Thanks,

Sean

PS,

Any ideas to improve this site are always welcome...thanks

All Active content on a page will always rise to the top, so to speak,
including Flash, certain form elements, Java applets, and Active X controls.
This means that each of these will poke through layers. There is not a good
cross-browser/platform reliable way to solve this issue, but if you can be
confident in your visitors using IE 5+ or NN6+, then you can use the Flash
wmode parameter.

Macromedia articles:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ts/documents/flash_top_layer.htm

I don't see that demo there, and I have to say, I wouldn't touch those menus
with *your* finger! 8)

Anyone using all-javascript menus like that is in for a shock and awe when
they try to get ranked by search engines....

Thanks Murray,

I went to the Macromedia links and added the wmode lines as stated and it
works. Though it does not work for another type of slideshow, but am going
to redo it in flash, now that I know the answer. Thanks a million.

Sean

PS.,
This may sound wierd, but would there be the possibility of getting a
critique of the site? I am taking over the website for this organization
only because the old webmaster left. Am not very html savvy, so any help is
appreciated.

Thanks
