Hi,
While Windows Automatic Update was installing some updates, my antvirus prog
asked me if I wanted to permanently block a program to connect to the
Internet. I happened to answer YES and I found that the blocked file belongs
to the .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 Security Update for Windows XP.

Now I cannot install this update. How can I remove this permanent block?

I am running Windows XP Pro ver 2002 SP 3.

What antivirus program are you using? Most would have an option somewhere to
undo the blocking you allowed it to perform, so check that.

Hi,
I forgot to say that the block in question is not found in the antivirus
prog list. So I guess that the block is placed or managed within the
registry or .? Anyhow I use BitDefender antivirus.

You are probably using BitDefender's firewall, look in the firewall
rules and remove the block there.

Hi,
I don't find it in the list of blocked items in the firewall of BitDefender.

Consult the documentation that came with the BitDefender application or
contact their tech support for more help.
