I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit. Windows Mail was removed because I
was using Outlook. Something happened to the Outlook install and after much
effort to reinstall Outlook I am giving up and want to try reinstalling Mail
but don't see a way on the DVD to do that without going through the Vista
install. Is there a way to just install Mail?

It is not possible to uninstall Windows Mail.
Go to C:\Program Files\Windows Mail\WinMail.exe, right-click on it
and select Create Shortcut.

Thanks, Gary. You are exactly right. I must have only deleted the shortcut. I
feel like such a newbe.

Glad to have been of service.

The shortcut gets hidden. Go to Control Panel | Default Programs and then
set WinMail default there and I think that will unhide the shortcut.

Hi, Tigar.

FYI - and for newbies who may be reading along <g>: Outlook and Windows
Mail happily coexist. No need to uninstall either of them. As I'm sure you
know, Outlook is sold separately from Windows/Vista (often as part of the
Office suite). Windows Mail is an integral part of Vista and cannot (by
mere mortals) be removed or separately installed.
