I dont want people to copy and paste my pictures to put it on their own
websites. how can I make sure they dont?

Watermark the image with your name.

Use low resolution images...as low as possible that still look good on the web.

Other than that? Not too much...formally copyright the images with the copyright office, use an image tracking system, keep and expensive copyright attorney on staff? :-)

You cannot stop them. If the image is on the web, it can be copied.
Watermark the images with your identity, or make them of sufficiently
poor quality to deter copying.

you can't. basically if a person has viewed your site it is already sitting
on their computer in the web cache/temp files folder(s).

Use an Image Editor and overtype the image with (in my case)
© Trevor L.

The copyright symbol can be generated by using holding Alt and typing 0169
on the numeric keypad.
