How can I open up a StarWriter document when my system has MS Word? I used to
have StarWriter and save an important paper on disk. When I upgraded I
gained MS Word and lost StarWriter. However, I need to open this disk and
cannot. StarWriter saved the document under the .sdw extension, which MS Word
doesn't read.
I would greatly appreciate any help on this.

Hello, I think you need to reinstall Starwriter. Change the
extension when in Starwriter to use MS Office extensions,
..doc etc. then you can remove Starwriter. I use OpenOffice
and keep all extensions as MS Office this way I can read
and send using MS Office Apps. without problem.
Take Care.
beamish.

Open in StarWriter and resave it as Word document, or RTF (rich text
format).
I don't know of any way to open a StarWriter without the program.

Good Luck
Chuck
