Is there a way to open 2 powerpoint presentations in 2 different programs so
that I can display them on 2 different screens?

Right now, whatever I open will appear in the same ppt window and cannot be
separated across screens - I am sure there is a way, because it works with
Word and Excel but I can't seem to get it to work (frustrating!)

Any advise is highly appreciated! Thanks - CONNIE

Natively, no, PowerPoint is a single instance application (you can only have
one running instance). You could do it with some programming skills but, it
would take a VERY powerful machine to pull it off in an acceptable manner.

If you wish to run 2 different slide shows on 2 different monitors, you can
do that with PowerShow add-in from
http://officeone.mvps.org/powershow/powershow.html

If you want to edit the 2 presentations on different monitors, you would
need to stretch PowerPoint's main window across 2 monitors and select
"Window" | "Arrange All" menu item to arrange your open presentations
side-by-side.

I found one solution : My native PPT is saved with .pptx extension. All i did was changed the extension of the other PPT to ".ppt" - now one opens in 2003 and the other opens in 2007

This way i have both the PPT open simultaniously side by side and are ready to edit.

Cheers !
