Hello,
I am working in MS Access 2003. Suddenly Windows says that Access must be
closed. When I try to reopen my file, Access says that it is corruted and
it seems to be imposible to perform the compact and repair function on it.
The latest backup I have is from more that one week ago and in the mean time
I have spent a lot of work on the file.

Please help me to recover the file. It is mostly the macros that I need to
recover.

Best regards
M Shafaat

M Shafaat,

The first thing to try (might work, might not) is to open a new blank
Access file, and then via the File|Get External Data menu, attempt to
import all objects from your existing application.

Another thing to try is running the JetComp utility on the file. See
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/295334

Hello agian,
I tried both these methods without any success. Can you please help me find
another way?

A question: This is the first time that Access crashes for me like this and
it was also the first time I activated "Immediate Window" in the VBA Editor
.. Is there any connection between these two? I.e. could it be "Immediate
Window" that caused the instability and crash?

Regards
M Shafaat
