How can I set up the Windows XP pro computer to allow
Windows 98SE & Windows 2000 workstation computers to
access it thur a Windows 2000 server. I keep getting a
\\VINYL\IPC$ password enter. I know that certain computer
management and policies need to be set on the XP pro
computer. The XP Pro can see all other computers but no
other computer can access it thru the network. What
settings and policies do I need to change to make it work?

The reason you're getting this error is because 98 doesn't take security seriously, and XP does. The only solution is to use the same username and password on the 98 machine as is set on the XP one, or create another account that is the same as the 98 login. Either way, you must log into the 98 machine with a password that is the same as the XP machine. (probably the same with the 2000 server, but i have no experience with them)
