I would like to know how to move the Program Files Folder
to another hard disk so that XP automatically attempts to
install new programs to the new location. (I am setting up
a new installation of Windows XP so I do not have to worry
about blowing away installed programs.)

I would also like to know how to move the Documents and
Settings folder.

I am attempting to do this because my C-drive is small and
I have a huge RAID 5 E: drive that I want to use to
protect my propriatary data and program customizations.

Finally, I would like to know how to specify the default
drive for my SWAP and Temporary Files. I would like to put
these on my fastest drive.

My thanks for any input.

Best Regards,

I would not move the PROGRAM FILES folder but would type in custom
installation folders when installing an application. Some installers
do not care about where PROGRAM FILES actually lies but use C:\PROGRAM
FILES if you do not specify a new install folder.
See "Cannot Move or Rename the Documents and Settings Folder"
