We are a small organisation (30 or so people) who are often not in the office
(visiting clients or working from home). The chief exec wants us to populate
an excel file with our expected locations so that he can tell where we're
going to be at any given time. I would like to propose that instead, he
requests that everyone keeps their Outlook calendar up to date with expected
location, and the we run a short piece of code when needed (probably at least
once a week) which amalgamates everyone's "Location" and presents it in one
calendar so he can see where we all propose to be without us having to fill
out a spreadsheet. Not only would this help him, but it would also start
people on the path to some simple KM!
We are using Office 2003.
Thanks
Tessa

Yes, you could do what he asks using AutoIT as the script engine to
export calendar entries. AutoIT is free from the Authors web site.

Hi Bob,
Many thanks for responding.
Excuse my ignorance, but I would be much obliged if you could provide a url
for this.
Also, would this be something that our IT department would need to do (we
contract out our IT to a local government organisation and they don't like to
let us do anything ourselves in case we mess up their own system)? Or is
this something that we could run locally?
Best regards
Tessa

Simply plug AutoIT into WWW.GOOGLE.COM

The script runs on the local machine, against the users outlook
calendar. Writing the script in AutoIt can be done by who ever you choose.
