how can I make my WinXPe machine a USB slave?

I've booted Win XPe, got basic test applications running. My test hardware
-- a laptop -- is, of course, configured as a USB master. I haven't chosen
final target hardware yet, but I want to make a USB slave device. There must
be more involved than just re-cabling to get the appropriate hardware
connector. Links to books, MSDN articles, etc. would be very helpful.
Thanks!

Its not quite as simple as that.

USB is not a peer to peer system - as you obviously know.
However the difference is not just at the software level, but also
at the hardware level.

I think would need to add some hardware which supports USB Slave mode.

I don't think the USB spec has XP/XPe defined as a client. As Glyn pointed
out, there are very few if any USB client PCI card for a PC.

To suggest another solution, there are USB host to USB host cable + software
solution out there.
