How can I log on at home w/o screwing up work logon

Is there a program that I can use, or is it already in Win XP Pro, where I
can use my laptop for log on purposes for home and work? Right now I use my
own laptop for work, hooked to our network. I'm scared to try to use it at
home with my DSL, because I think that all the settings for work will be
screwed up. So, the best for me would be a shortcut for home without
screwing up the work setting. At work I don't have to do anything, just plug
in the cat5 cable and logon with the password via Ctrl Alt Del and I'm on my
way to the internet.

So.. You log into a domain at work? Username/password.. etc?

Just don't hook it into the network at home AT FIRST and log in the same
way. You will be using a "Cached Profile", which means you logged into your
work account on the local machine without having to have your network. Then
plug your network into the machine.

Use normally. Log off. Log on the next day at work.

Of course this assummes your system admins did not change the number of
cached logons with a group policy, but chances are since you have a laptop,
they EXPECT you to use it elsewhere.

Thank you Shenan, sorry I didn't answer yet, but I've been under the
weather. Will answer and try this today...........Peter
