After a crash, there were some programs that were still present on my PC and
still worked, however, they were not in the program list anymore (or
whatever you call that thing that you click under Start-?Programs).
Now i would like to know how I can get them back into the list without
re-installing.

Thanks,
Frankie.

Thanks,

The Start menu is just some folders. To learn how to work with it,
search XP's help for "start menu".

Those are shortcuts to the programs, not the programs themselves. One
way to bring them back into the programs list is to right-click the
start button, properties, customize. In the classic menu area you'll
see a section to add or subtract items from your programs list.
