how can i insert a dvd .vob file in to a presentation?

No, PFCMedia won't help in that situation. The issue is that a VOB file is
not played as a stand alone file. Each VOB has a reference to a IFO file
and the IFO file tells it how to play it. As an example say you have a VOB
from a DVD. That VOB in all likelihood will have more than one sound track,
closed captioning, maybe even different angles. Without the IFO file to
instruct the media player what they are or how to use them it simply has no
idea what is being asked of it. (Of couirse that doesn't begin to address
the DRM issues. <g>)

thanks for the reply. even though i have the .ifo file, i guess i need to
purchase software that will convert this dvd file into a .wmv to use in
powerpoint?

Not to be too techie but the VOB file will still have DRM (MacroVision) in
it. You'll need one of the illegal rippers to do this. <yikes>

thanks for your advice. i will have to contact my company and ask them to
send in a diff. format then.
