How can I import a contact list in outlook to access

I am an apartment manager and have a contractor contact list. I now want to
make the same list in Access. Is it possible to import that contact list in
outlook to access, but also keep the list in outlook also. I am using office
2007

In Outlook go to File > Import-Export selct export to file and then
select Access. Just follow the prompts. Once it's in Access then you can
import that table to any DB.

GLS 858: I followed what you said. I have an access file called apt.
contractors in "my documents". I exported the file to there but it will not
open when I click on apt. contractors in the "my documents".

You should have ended up with an Access database containing one table
with all of your contacts in that table. The exact steps I used were to
open Outlook(2007).

Went to file and then selected Import and Export.

When the window opened I selected Export to a file and hit next.

At that screen I selected Access 97-2003and hit next.

I then selected my contacts folder and clicked next.

I clicked the browse button and sent the file to my desktop (easy to
find)clicked next.

At the next screen I named the file test.mdb and clicked finish. I then
had an Access database on my desktop called test.mdb.

I clicked on the icon and the database opened and it contained a single
table with my contacts in it.

I know what I am doing wrong and its dumb. I downloaded the "Personal
Contact" form and wanted to put the "contacts" in there. It won't work and I
now just realized it. Sorry for your trouble. I have to make a blank database

Exporting the file will make one for you automatically. If you want to
move the data from that table to the Contacts db you could use an append
query.
