I have a double listing of my contact folders. Contact folder (backup). Is
there a way I can hide the back up folders so that I don't see them when I
select contacts in Outlook?
Thanks,

Roger

You didn't tell us anything. What is "Contact Folder (backup)" and how did
you create it?

Thanks for responding Russ. In Outlook I have created a few back up folders
for Contact folders I created. But for this issue we can just consider my
main Contacts folder. I have one copy of that and then under it one that
reads Contacts (backup). So it is my main Contact folder that comes with the
program I am talking about. Both Contacts and Contacts (backup) are
displayed in the contacts main menu window:
Contacts
Contacts (backup)

Does this help?

Not much.
You have not clarified what you mean by "main window." Where is it that you
want to see only Contacts and not "Contacts (backup)?"
Why are you creating a backup folder as a subfolder to the main folder? What
could that possibly back up?

Russ,

On the left hand side of the main microsoft outlook program..... you have
folder, mail, and I have contact buttons on the bottom of the left hand sub
window on that main program page (what you see when you open the program).
When I open contacts and see my contact groups listed on the left and all the
names in the next right window, I have duplicate contact folders named
backup. I did not create them knowingly. They appeared.

I am not now at that computer so I can't try to work with it till tomorrow.
Somehow I made copies that show up in that list of contact files. I think I
will just delete them and check my back up options as I may have set it up
that way.

Thanks for your attempts to help
I can't be any more clear than I have been in this email as to what I am
talking about.

That view is supposed to show all the Contacts Folders in your profile. It
is behaving as designed.
It seems to me you actually have a different question which only you can
answer. How did those folders get there and do you need them?

Keep in mind that all your folders are (usually) kept in one Windows file.
Lose that file and you lose everything. Those "backup" folders are probably
not filling the purpose you intend.
